Why copper is not used in filament of bulbs?

copper is not used in filament of bulb because it has a very low melting point

here is your answer...

copper is not used in the filament of bulb because it does not have a very high melting point to with stand the current flow to give out light energy. so instead of copper tungsten is used in its place.
