Answer:

Because it was just an imagination of the writer. ( It is imagination bcoz the lady said that his plane was the last to land which she noticed in her radar.)

The writer could not meet the pilot of the black plane because there was no such plane and pilot, it was the writer's imagination only.

  • There are two stories included in the main story " Two stories about flying."
  • The first part of this story highlight a seagull who is very scared of flying, and how he overcomes his fear.
  • In the second part the story goes through a pilot and the situation he faced while flying from Paris to London.
  • As soon as his flight crossed Paris, he felt that a storm is coming.
  • But he did not land in Paris back, he continued his journey.
  • He lost his communication, navigation, and control as soon as he reached or entered the storm.
  • At that moment another airplane came there, and the pilot in that plane helped him to get through the dark storm.
  • When they land in London, the writer was eagerly waiting to meet that pilot and say thanks for saving.
  • But, when the writer enquired about the other plane he got the shocking reply that there was no such plane in the sky at that time.
  • So he realized it was all his imagination.
