Why covalent compounds are not considered as electrolytes?

Substances whose solutions conduct electricity are called electrolytes.
All soluble ionic compounds are strongelectrolytes.
They conduct very well because they provide a plentiful supply of ions in solution. Some polarcovalent compounds are also strongelectrolytes.
