why covalent compounds do not conduct electricity as they have weak forces of attraction...

conduction of electricity requires ions...as the electricity is conducted only in the presence of ions...as we know there are no ions present in the covalent compound so they don't conduct electricity

Covalent compounds do not conduct electricity as they do not form ions in water.

Some polar covalent compound do conduct electricity in aqueous form but they do not conduct electricity in molten form as there is no ion formation.
