Covalent bonds are formed by sharing of electrons i.e. Overlapping of orbitals…!
As covalent bonds do not break easily (dissociate) , they do not form ions which help in conduction of electricity , so covalent compounds having covalents bond dont conduct electricty as the dont have free electrons or ions either to tranfer energy…!
