because it curd can react with brass and copper ....that is why it may react with brass and copper to produce salt and salt + hydrogen

curd is acidic in nature. As we know the acid attacks most of metal .If we kept curd in copper and brass it will for a toxic compound harmful for humans .
So we use stainless steel.
