Why cyclist tucks his head down?

pranavray581: That being said that’s very dangerous to do. Pros can get away with it, but not always. Just look up videos on YouTube about pro races with crashes, and you will see. Keeping your eyes up, enables you to look down the road and keep the bike tracking straight. When you tuck you head in you tend to wonder side to side or “sweep” across the course, causing a massive pile up when you have 100 guys behind you.
