➠ AnSwer :-

  • As with any other democracy, political parties represent different sections among the Indian society and regions, and their core values play a major role in the politics of India.

  • Through the electoral process, the people of India choose which representative and which political party should run the government.

Answer:

India follows the dual polity system, i.e. a double government that consists of the central authority at the centre and states at the periphery. The constitution defines the organisational powers and limitations of both central and state governments, and it is well recognised, rigid and considered supreme

Explanation:

I actually think that when we compare India to other democracies, this is something that is kept very much alive and in India. When you see voter turnouts falling in western democracy, in India, it’s not like that. And it’s not just that the turnouts are strong? In the last elections it was one of the highest turnouts in the country, but you see who votes? It’s in fact the poor, lower backward castes, right? So it’s the people whom you expect to want and need change and for whom the vote matters. They are the ones who guard this electoral democracy.
