Democracy is preferred than other form of govt due to following reasons
. govt have to run under constitution
. govt is answerable to its citizens
. democracy provides an opportunity to take part in legislation directly or indirectly
. it provides equal rights to all
. it constitutes a procedure and various institutions for decision making which reduces possibility of mistakes
. it provides room for correcting mistakes
