why di-tert butyl ketone does not precipitate with NaHSO3 wheras acetone does?

because acetone is more reactive than nahso3
but di-tertbutyl ketone is less reactive than nahso3

Ans. Acetone has alpha hydrogen which is acidic wheras ditert butyl ketone does not. Acidic hydrogen required for reaction with base such as NaHSO3
