Explanation:The Asiatic cheetah which is also known by the name of Iranian or Persian cheetah is the most critically endangered animal. These are tan color and have black spots and weigh nearly 143 pounds.
There are number of reasons leading to near extinction of cheetah. Some of the notable factors are
1) Uncontrolled hunting.
2) Decline of its preferred prey i.e. small antelopes which is regarded as their prime prey is disappearing because of poaching.
3) Industrial development in and around the national park or near their major concentration area lead to road and infrastructure development which often attract poaching and even lead to accidental road deaths.
cheetahs are threatened by overhunting of their prey by humans, habitat degradation and poaching.
