Gandhi opposed separate electorate for Dalits in 1932, whereas he accepted separate electorates given to Muslim, Sikh etc as decided by British government at that time. The reasons behind it (as stated by Gandhi) is he didn't want to divide Hindu community. ... Ambedkar refused to call Gandhi as Mahatma.
