Indigo is blue coloured dye and eved since the industrial revolution the need for this dye became a way to earn a huge amount t of money. this British decide to invest it's money in indigo and ordered it's colonial countries to grow indigo bit because of unfavourable conditions the countries failed to meet the demands of British.so the British turned it's focus on India. in India indigo had been growing for centuries because the conditions favoured it's growth which is why the British asked the farmers to grow only indigo.
