Why did dinosaurs become extinct and not other animals?

Hey mate here's your answer.....

Dinosaurs were the oldest on earth , at that time too many volcanic eruption took place that killed all the dinosaurs and hence they became extinct.

But some other archeologists say that there was a heavy meteoroid fall which lead to the extinction of these dinosaurs.
