Why did E.V. Ramaswamy Naicker leave the congress

E.V. Ramaswamy Naicker also called Periyar or the lofty one ..he also helped in upliftment of lower castes of his society ....But before all these he left Congress and made his own party later ....He left congress bcez he when he was in Congress he noticed many discrimination related to caste,creed,race,economic status etc. Hence after this he thought for upliftment of lower caste so he left the Congress and made his own party which encouraged lower caste upliftment

when he joined congress in 1919 . He beleived that the prominent people in that organization were enlightened and hoped that with their co-operation , he could get rid of the practice of untouchability
