Gandhiji decided to withdraw non cooperation movement because of the following reasons:-
1) The incident had became violent in some parts such as in Chauri Chaura.
2) Gandhiji thought that the Satyagrahis needed more training before any mass movement.
3)The Congress leaders were tired of the movements and struggles and wanted to participate in the legislative elections of 1919.
