Harry actually persuaded Sandy to take the diamond for the auction because he thinks it would be a source of attraction for the different wealthy people who will have wish to buy this ,ultimately they will get a good price for the diamond. It was the huge diamond and was gift for the Sandy from a prince whose life was saved by him. Harry persuaded him to sell the diamond in the auction.
