Helen loved nature. She saw frozen lakes and big snow fields. the earth seemed motionless and still, even the trees appeared to be dead. The storm and ice flakes surrounded her in no time . Helen compared and compressed the description of winter and nature in few lines that the nature inspired. She compared the seemingly dead nature to a dying old woman. The branches of the trees are compared to the veins of old woman's hand. This old woman rose with an effort to take one last glance on earth.

Similar is the atmosphere of the winter woods, The forest seems to be at its death bed like the old woman.
