Jansie, being best friend of Sophie, did not want that Sophie feel any
problem by dreaming high sice they were earmarked for the biscuit
factory. Morover they belonged to a small family where they had no right
to even think bigger.

Jansie discouraged sophie from having dreams because the latter was unrealistic and had unattainable visions. Jansie knew that they were ear marked for the biscuit factory as she was practical and she thought reasonably how tough and challenging life could be.
