Why did Laura Hinkle calls the John hallock a "TRAITOR" ?

John was trying to communicate to ghosts through ouija board .Enraged by this helen went to each ouija board one by one and said Mr.hallock is a traitor.Everyone in the party started suspecting john for cheating his wife.

Because the Ouija Board, sentenced John as traitor and so she calls John, a traitor. It was done by Helen, the ghost, who insist John to ask his friends and acquaintances to stop using Ouija Board.
As John took part in the Ouija board party it revealed him as a traitor.
