Lencho was devastated by the damage the hail storm had done to his field. It was so severe that he found not even a single leaf on the plants after the storm. So he compared the situation worse than that of an infestation by the locusts. Thus he said that even the plague of locusts would have been less damaging and left more than what the hailstorm left.
