✌✌Hii mate here is your answer ✌✌

Mendel selected garden pea plant ( Pisum sativum ) as his experimentalmaterial because it has the following advantages: ... Because of self-fertilization plants remain genetically pure. It is, therefore, easy to get pure lines of several generations.Experimental cross pollination can be done easily in pea plant. Mendel took advantage of this property to produce true-breeding pea lines: he self-fertilized and selected peas for many generations until he got lines that consistently made offspring identical to the parent (e.g., always short). Pea plants are also easy to cross, or mate in a controlled way.

hope it's helpful for you.......

Mendel choose pea plants for the following reasons:

Gregor Mendel chose the pea plants for his experiments because the garden pea is an ideal subject in the study of genetics for the following reasons:

-- presence of observable traits with contrasting forms

-- produces many offspring in one cross

-- short life cycle

-- ease in manipulating pollination (cross pollination)
