Yet, she made no effort to grab it from the coop.
She had been a mute witness of the vicious attack made on her baby by the male langur and had seen how the narrator had valiantly saved her baby. Perhaps she knew her child was safer in the coop with the narrator and his family watching over it, than out in the open with her.
