Why did Mr.Bill Bramble withdraw from his last fight? (Urgent!!)

Mr and Mrs Bramble had kept the fact of Mr Bill being a professional boxer hidden from their child harold. Bill thought that his fight with jimmy murphy , due to its popularity will be in newspapers , which harold would read . He would then come to know of his father's profession and feel ashamed and hurt.Since Bill could never cause anguish to harold , he decided to withdraw from the fight even though it was his last fight.

Mr. bramble learned the fight in which he was to take part was a national affair and was to be reported in the mail with his photograph. Mr.Bramble feared his son he could come to know about his real identity so he decided not to fight at the last moment. He did not want his son to know his real identity.
