the reasons are :
(1) khadi was very expansive people do not afford it . so they move towards clothes made in british mills .
(2) there is no other institute then the british institute , colleges , school or offices in india . so people go back for work or studies .

1. Khadi was more exoensive than mass produce mill cloth so people can't afford it.
2. There was a lack of alternative institution for birtish so teachers and students started trickling bacj to schools
