Why did people in central asia responded to the russian revolution in different wages?

Most of them respond by armed resistance. But the forces were not comparable. The Red Army was much bigger and better equipped. Besides many local people had believed the Bolsheviks promises of freedom and wealth (like the people on the rest territories of Russian empire).
When they realized that the Bolsheviks were not going to fulfill that promises it was already too late. The Bolsheviks and then the Communists of the USSR were very good in lie and false promises. Due to such promises and the terror they were able to exist until 1991.
