Ruskin Bond feels he is an Indian because he is acutely attuned with the nature around him. He is sensitive to his atmosphere and that comes out in his writing. Even though we call ourselves India, we might go through our whole life never really looking around us. It is this terrible beauty of India as well as its serene graces which draws travellers from everywhere. Ruskin Bond feels at home here and that is what constitutes his identity as an Indian.
