I find that she is from Kakatiya dynasty and ruled the terrain after her father’s death. She is also called Rudradeva Maharaja. Why she is called like that or preferred to assume a male name is not clear. One account says her father preferred to bring her up like a prince as per advice his guru Perhaps in those days Kings commanded more awe among their enemy Kings and this could be a reason for her to assunpme a male name when she succeeded her father who had no male issues I think. She pretended herself as a man will not be a correct view. She was courageous and won battles against Yadavas and Eastern Ganga Dynasty also as per the recorded information in history of Kakatiyas.
