The author suddenly desired to see the stored stuff at mrs Dorling house because the narrator, Mrs. S's daughter understood that she was at the right place where she can find her mother's belongings. As when she met first time to Mrs. Dorling she found her mother's cardigan pullover wore by Mrs. Dorling which had pale buttons and also when again the narrator when to the same Marconi street Number 46 to confirm it, she was welcomed by Mrs Dorling's daughter. She ushered the narrator in and told her to sit and wait here for Mrs. Dorling to come. Then the narrator noticed a burnt mark over the table cloth which reminded her of her mother 's belonging. This invoked her to find other antique things of her mother which must have decorated in Mrs. Dorling' s house.
