The British used different policies to annex indian territories as they were finding it difficult to annex the territory without any policies. The different policies helped them to annex many territories as each policy has its own speciality

British use different polices to annex different territories because each territory has different social and economic status for ex some states don't have kings due some reason so British directly conquer such states due to weak socio-economic conditions on the other hand where there is good socio-economic conditions like in bengal the have fight wars and made polices to conquer the states as without policies they cannot gain states fluently as different states and different territories have different socio-economic conditions as well as different political conditions
