it refers to thread like, stainable , and used chromatin, visible at cell Division and containing hereditary information in the form of genes...

Structures present at all times in the nuclei of all cells, though they only become independently visible ( as thread like bodies of different shapes and sizes). when a cell is dividing ( and has been stained with a dye ) . Each one is made with a single molecule of DNA plus proteins called histones. The DNA molecule is a chain of many connected genes.

Every species has its own number of chromosomes per cell, called the diploid number ( humans have 46 ). These are arranged in pairs called Homologous chromosomes.

nucleus of any cell consists of chromosome . when the cell has to divide the nucleus pinched off in the center .when chromosome break of it called chromatin chromatin consist of genes which helps in transferring the genetic codes from parents to their offsprings.
-main function of chromosome is to transfer the genetic codes from parents to offsprings.
