The Colonial Government banned canal transport because goods were delivered to Karachi on November 29,1933 and it was delivered by the SS Wachtfels which was found as the property of Afghan Government.

Later its was found that there were five pistols and 590 rounds of ammunition in that package and those items belonged to Abdul Hadi Khan.
