Why did the common people do not keep their records

Common sense is different everywhere you go. What was common sense to me when I lived in Florida and either a small town or countryside is NOT common sense to me now that I live in the massive city of Seoul.
Culture, whether based on a people, a region, an age, ability, or whatever else it is culture can be partly a product of, determines common sense. Even within a specific culture, common sense still can't come about without experience. It is common sense that red stoves are hot and outdoor pools in freezing temperatures are feezing….but toddlers will challenge one and teenagers/young adults will often challenge the other. I've known plenty of adults who would challenge scenarios too except that the consequences are a little more severe.
Life has taught me that the best and most universal common sense to have is a little compassion. Koreans can't understand why it is foreigners are so rude to talk on a train. Floridians can't understand why it is anyone would go driving in freezing temperatures. And I no longer have the 'common sense' not to mix languages and social cues. Because I and a lot of my friends do and understand one another. That drives my sister (and me, admittedly) nuts when I go stateside. (Ever tried bowing to a Southerner?)
Have a good one!
