✔️Reasons for launching non cooperation movement were:

1) To bring about unity among the people. To inculcate a sense of nationalism.

2) To paralyze the British administration by not cooperating with them. To make the British realize that they cannot function without the active support of Indians.

3) To bring about Hindu Muslim unity and to attain Swaraj.

4) To avenge the wrong done by the Government in Punjab (Jallianwala Bagh Massacre) in a non violent way.

✔️Mahatma Gandhi in his book Hind Swaraj  outlined the following reasons for launching the movement:

1) Mahatma Gandhi declared that British rule was established in India with the cooperation of  Indians, and had survived only because of this cooperation.

2) He believed  that we need to paralyze and cripple the British administration and to make them realize that they cannot function without the active support of the Indians.

3) It is because of this, he gave a call for non cooperation that is not to cooperate with the British and asked people of India to boycott of civil services, army, police, courts and legislative councils, schools and foreign goods. This will severely damage British interests in India.

Gandhiji considered it important to support the Khilafat movement coz he thought that it would be a great opportunity to reunite the Hindus and The Muslims...
