Why did the english became hostile toward Mir Qasim?

As the East India Company interfered in the affairs of Bengal and misused the Dastak ( tax free trade licence), Mir Qasim opposed the discriminatory Dastak and thus abolished all taxes on the local traders as well, which lead English to become hostile towards Mir Qasim
