The seamstress was poor, and she was doing embroidery work. In a bed, in the corner of the room, her little son was lying ill. He had a fever and was asking his mother to give him oranges. His mother had nothing to give him but river water. Seeing this condition, the Happy Prince sent the little swallow with the ruby from his sword hilt to solve their problem.
