it happened due to the policy of British rule

The Jallianwala Bagh massacre happened as there were number of demonstration going on through out the country against British government . So in order to suppress them the British official General A.O.Hume took the soldiers with him and started shooting at the people at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar.
