Sikh Khalsa Army was the military force of Maharaja Ranjith Singh that was formed back in 1799 shortly after the capture of Lahore. The Sikh Khalsa Army was also known as the Sikh Army has been modernized under the principles of Franco-British when Ranjith Singh accepted the “Treaty of Amritsar.
Soon after the death of Ranjith Singh, his sons were killed by Betrayal. Then, the Khalsa Army was led into the battle against the British by the Dogras. Unfortunately the Sikh army was defeated by the British army by utilizing the leaked battle plans of the Khalsa Army. This defeat led them to sign a treaty called Treaty of Lahore which was completely against the sovereignty of Sikhs. This made the Sikh Army personals to involve in frequent rebellion acts against the British. The Treaty of Lahore and the rebel actions led to the Sikh Army to the Second Anglo Sikh War.
