I recently went to visit the Chenna Keshava Temple at Belur, which a 12th century Temple. This Temple has been declared as an Archelogical heritage.

So a great deal of Foreign visitors along with tourist Guides continuously are flowing in an out in a continuous stream.

We the family and several others were all praying, singing in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum. A Guide who was leading a foreign tourist group, asked us not to sing, as it disturbs his narration. He also told us that this is an ?Arachelogical site and hence Tourists have the first Right!

There ensued an argument, when many devotees told him to get off. The foreign visitors were emabarrassed.

I do not know why Temples, which are centres for Praying and worshipping should be open to others for just to fulfill their Voyuerism ?

Do we go a Hospital just to visit their facilities ?

This kind of Secfularism has no place. I respect your views on Religion, Politics, and life style. You should also respect my private space and not demand that you have free entry any where.

I know recently the SC has made some observations on entry to Puri Jagannath Temple and ordered all the 20 lakh places of worship in India be audited for entry of every one. Our SC has not been noted for its wisdom. First of all a Judiciary, which cannot decide cases in the life time of litigants, and has over 40 ,000 people in jails without even a trial, cannot handle 20,00,000 cases in its life time
