Because he used to go to post office everyday to collect her daughter's letter even he face insults from post master then also he use to go....he is first one to come to post office and last one to go to home.

The post office became a pilgrimage for Ali.This was because of his daughter Miriam who got married to a military man and she went to Punjab along with him.Ali was not at all receiving her letters for the past 5 years.This worried him a lot and he went to post office everyday at 4 'o' clock with infinite faith and hope that he would receive a letter from Miriam.Therefore, post office became his pilgrimage
