The postmaster had always been merciless and rude towards Ali. If not elder, he was more experienced and educated than the rest of the officials at the post office yet he considered Ali mad and called him a pest. When he was desperately waiting for news of his own daughter and accidentally lay hand on the letter addressed to Ali, realization and guilt streamed into his sift heart and it went gentle.
