India is the land of spiritual identity where people’s freedom is considered the ultimate spiritualism. To live this spirituality, we Indians have paid a great price due to which we are still able to continue the only surviving ancient civilization. To pay this price, even the saints had to draw arms against the mighty and cruel colonial powers of the British. Come, I will tell you a tale like none you have ever heard.

Being a spiritual land, Indians have always respected the spiritual and the religious figures like the saints, sages and ascetics since ancient times. People used to help them either by giving alms in the form of food or by providing small monetary help. Though the saints and sages had left all the worldly desires, still rajas, maharajas and kings used to help them by arranging pilgrimage facilities for them, or providing them lands for their ashrams.
