THE IMMEDIATE CAUSE OF FEBRUARY REVOLUTION OF 1917 WAS THE COLLAPSE OF THE TSARAIT REGIME UNDER THE GIGANTIC STRAIN OF WORLD WAR 1. THE UNDERLYING CAUSE WAS THE BACKWARD ECONOMIC CONDITION OF THE COUNTRY, WHICH MADE IT UNABLE TO SUSTAIN THE WAR EFFORT AGAINST POWERFUL, INDUSTRIALISED GERMANY.

The tsarist autocracy in Russia collapsed because:

1) miserable conditions of workers

2) long working hours sometimes up to 15 hours

3) low wages

4) peasant had to pay high revenue

5)even though the workers striked work for better working conditions

and reduce work hours upto 8 hours and to increase their wages ,but their demands were not fulfilled

6) most of the peasants were landless and very poor

7) they also had to do free labour for the landlords

8) the peasants demanded that the land of nobles be transferred to them.

9) But the people were dissatisfied because their demands were not fulfilled.

Hope it helps you mate
