These lines tells us that, there's only the survival of the fittest. They didn't grow like that but due to malnutrition or weather causes they bacame dull like that. Nature works like that. The stronger will survive and the weaker will thrive.

According to these lines, nature recycles on its own, like the leaves fall from the trees and get dried duller and at last ends up in the earth and again they grow up on branchy trees.
