Traders and craftspeople have a great part to play in the economic activities of the country, both the traders and craftsmen silver among the most significant classes living in the towns. Traders worked both as individuals and in groups representing various types of business. They were spread all over the subcontinent some of them went on voyages for long distance trade while other worked as local shopkeepers selling different things. Banjaras , shroffs were important group of traders. Indian crafts men were perfect masters in producing articles of different kinds and that two of good quality they were perfect in the field of textile industry and their cotton, wool and silk and cloth had no comparison in the world.
