1. Coal mines are very deep

2. Due to which when we enter deep inside mine the radius of earth decreases due to which value of gravity decrease.

3. Because radius of earth is inversely proportional to the value of "g" I.E gravity.

* In other words -

When a body get inside the surface of earth the amount of matter above the body cancels the amount of matter downside the body as a result the net amount of mass reduced result in decrease in mass and less mass means less gravity.

4. Hence, weight of body decreases at coal mines.
