Why didn't Luigi the driver, approve of the two boys ?

Two brothers (Nicola and Jacopo) I were dressed in shabby and worn out clothes which didn't made their first impression really visually appealing.
This was only the reason, that made the suspicious Luigi off..

Luigi the driver didn't approve of thr two boys because of their shabby appearance. Their shabby appearance discouraged him to buy wild strawberries from those two boys. Also, Luigi hoped that they would get much better strawberries in Verona.
