Here d orbital is less than half filled so d orbital electrons are insufficient of shield 4s electrons. Thus 4s electronsare strongly attracted by the nucleus and ionization energy increases from Sc to Cr. @Why do 3d transition elements show such irregularity in their ionization enthalpy?
