Hi there,

♤ Acides as HCl, HNO3 when dissolved in water to make an aques solutions they dissociate in water forming hydronium cation which shows the acidic character

HCl + H2O = H3O^+ + CL^-

♤ Ethanol and glucose dissolves in water but do not dissociate so, the hydrodium cation not formed and no acidic character is shown
