why do bigger plants have more no. of leaves?

bigger plants need more leaves because they need more glucose for their growth .
nd specially in summer they acquire more leaves because the rate of transpiration increases.

➡️Firstly the major function of leaves is for transpiration which means breathing of a plant.by sending out excess and toxic water.
➡️As bigger plants have more water and need to transpire in more amount and they also have to maintain unique rate of transpiration.so, they have more no. of leaves..
